For this month’s reading list, I’ve narrowed it down to only three reads (I couldn’t keep up with my desired reading schedule this month, oops)! These are three different but very good reads to add to your list for this summer!
The Glitter Plan by Pamela Skaist-Levy & Gela Nash-Taylor
You’ve heard of Juicy Couture, right? The Glitter Plan is the auto-biography of the girls who founded it, and it was such a fascinating read. Gela & Pamela’s energy and passion for what they do is so infectious! It was so cool reading about the ups and downs of their business journey together. They began Juicy with only $200 and turned it into a billion-dollar trend-setting empire. And they stuck to their uniqueness the whole way through. I’d give this read a 10/10!
You Are Free by Rebekah Lyons
This was one of those books where I read it at the exact time I needed to hear those words. If you’re feeling stuck, or burdened with something then you absolutely need to read You are Free. Rebekah’s words are exactly what you need to read; she’ll remind you that you are indeed free and loved, and I couldn’t recommend this book enough.
The Winner’s Game by Kevin Alan Milne
Such a good summer read! The Winner’s Game tells the story of a family who decides to spend the summer at their grandmother’s beach house in order to provide a quiet atmosphere for their oldest daughter who is suffering from a life-threatening heart condition. They discover a game in a stack of old journals that their grandmother created called “The Winner’s Game”. Through playing it themselves, they form a bond stronger than they ever thought possible. I was laughing, I almost cried – it was so incredibly good.
I have so many reads on my list for next month! I’m bringing When Dimple Met Rishi on the plane ride this weekend when we go to Norway, and I’m pretty excited to read it! It looks pretty promising.
What are you reading this month? Tell me in the comments!
